Founded in 1925, Shanghai Peiming School is a public middle school located in the central area of Jing’an District, Shanghai, distinguished by its rich humanistic tradition and deep cultural heritage. From the 2022, the Education Bureau of Jing’an District entrusted Xiehe Education with the comprehensive management of Peiming School. By integrating over three decades of Xiehe Education’s successful international education experience, Peiming School has been repositioned as a high-quality educational institution serving the international community of Jing’an District, and has been officially renamed as Shanghai United International School Peiming Campus (SUIS Peiming).
今Today, SUIS Peiming fully integrates Xiehe’s philosophy of “Developing in Harmony, where East Meets West” with the strengths of Xiehe’s educational model, and the school has introduced a new motto: “Chinese Roots and Global Wings”. SUIS Peiming has also been designated as a pioneer pilot school in Jing’an District – and Shanghai’s only – for enrolling foreign students in its International Stream. Through this initiative, the school provides high-quality basic education services to children of expat professionals living or working in Jing’an District, while actively exploring best practices for international education within the public school system in the compulsory education stage. Currently, students in the International Stream come from a wide range of countries and regions, including the US, Canada, Italy, Spain, Russia, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, as well as Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan Province of China.
