（Primary School Teams）
On the sunny day of May 10th, the 2025 Xiehe Inter-School Sports Tournament (Primary School Teams) kicked off at SUIS Hongqiao! This exciting event connected together 21 primary school teams from 6 SUIS campuses, with nearly 300 energetic young athlete gathering at SUIS Hongqiao to compete in four categories: U11 Boys’ Football, U11 Boys’ Basketball, U11 Girls’ Football, and U11 Girls’ Basketball.
Adding to the excitement were two special guests: Mr. Alexander Haberstock, Bayern Munich’s East Asia Football Cooperation Manager, and Mr. Luo Fan, the Chinese Manager, who came to the event to cheer on the young players. Together with Mr. Neil Bunting, Co-Principal of SUIS Hongqiao, they kicked off the tournament with an opening ceremony full of enthusiasm and encouragement.
Xiehe Education has always adhered to its core philosophy of “Developing in Harmony, where East Meets West”, and remains unwavering in its commitment to nurturing students. Through the broad platform of the cross-campus sports tournament, communication and collaboration among SUIS schools have become increasingly close. On the field, students from different campuses compete and learn from one another, deepening mutual understanding and sparking friendships through shared experiences. This year’s event, in collaboration with world-class sports resources, aims to build a bridge between Xiehe and international athletic programs. With a global perspective, it empowers youth sports education, helping young athletes broaden their horizons for cross-cultural exchange and enhance their overall athletic development.
