Visit and Tour
On the afternoon of June 9, Dr. Stéphan Vincent-Lancrin, Deputy Head of the Centre for Educational Research and Innovation (CERI) at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), visited SUIS Qingpu. Ms. Maxine Lu, General Principal of Xiehe Education, accompanied by Dr. Zhan Shengli, Director of the Shanghai Cross-Cultural Research Center of Basic Education, and Ms. Sylvia She, Director of the Business Development & Consulting Department of Xiehe Education, warmly welcomed Dr. Vincent-Lancrin to the campus. Dr. Adam Neufield, the Co-Principal of SUIS Qingpu, and Ms. Cindy Zhang, Director of the school’s Administration Department, helped to lead Dr. Vincent-Lancrin through a tour of the campus.
Dr. Stéphan Vincent-Lancrin expressed high admiration for the excellent environmental resources and vibrant educational atmosphere of SUIS Qingpu. He believes that learning in such an environment would enable both teachers and students to have unlimited possibilities.

Eagerly Engaging in Further Exploration
During his visit, Dr. Stéphan Vincent-Lancrin expressed a keen interest in the educational practices of “Developing in Harmony, where East Meets West” at Xiehe schools and expressed a willingness to further understand and explore them. He raised several important questions, including how to achieve an organic integration of the national curriculum with international curricula, and what effective educational methods were in place for fostering the transformation of teachers’ mindsets and developing student creativity.

The group eventually sat down for an enjoyable and lengthy in-depth discussion. The exchange not only deepened mutual understanding but also brought new thoughts and insights to both parties.
