2025 Xiehe Cross-campus Summer New Teachers PD Day was held at SUIS Gubei on 14 August 2025. 220 New Teachers from 10 SUIS schools participated this event, which meant that they together started a new chapter in their career development journey.

Keynote Speech: First Lesson at Xiehe
As a new teacher, the first step towards joining Xiehe is crucial. In order to help everyone quickly integrate into the Xiehe family, Maxine Lu (General Principal of Xiehe Education) and Mr. Alex Shen (Supervising Principal of Xiehe Education), collaborated to deliver the keynote speech: First Lesson at Xiehe.

They comprehensively interpreted Xiehe Education from various dimensions, such as the history, the curriculums, teachers and students, professional growth, etc. They led new teachers to get to know Xiehe, experience Xiehe, and understand the genes and mission of Xiehe.

Panel Discussion I: Curriculum with Xiehe EMW Features
The first panel discussion was chaired by Christina Lu, Vice Principal of SUIS Shangyin. The guest speakers discussed the topic of “Curriculum with Xiehe EMW Features”.
They shared how to organically integrate international educational concepts with Chinese local curriculum, creating a learning experience that combines academic depth and cultural breadth.

Panel Discussion II: Measures in Advancing Students to Overseas Universities
The second panel discussion focused on “Measures in Advancing Students to Overseas Universities”, hosted by Angelar Zhu, the Assistant Principal of SUIS Gubei.
The guests analyzed the unique strategies of SUIS’ various schools in terms of enrollment planning, academic support, and background enhancement. Through real case sharing, new teachers have learned how to help students improve their competitiveness and smoothly enter their ideal overseas universities.

Parallel Workshops: Peer interaction, Learn together
Chinese and Expat teachers were grouped for discussion, exchanging ideas, and explored more efficient methods on teaching and learning.

This event is not only a training session, but also a collision of educational concepts and a consolidation of the spirit of Xiehe. From the feedback data, most new teachers have given great affirmation to the professionalism, practicality, and fun of the event. Meanwhile, they also shared their learning gains and suggestions.
We firmly believe that in the near future, new teachers will inject more vitality and possibilities into Xiehe Education.
