Harmonious Rhythms of Art: Thirty Years of Splendor | Xiehe Cross-campus Art Exhibition

When artistic brushstrokes meet thirty years of educational brilliance, a visual spectacle that captivates Shanghai blossoms at the Powerlong Museum.

Recently, the “Harmony in Art, Thirty Years of Brilliance” cross-campus art exhibition by Xiehe Education grandly opened as a flagship event of their 30th anniversary celebration. This prestigious exhibition has drawn keen attention from educators, artists, and distinguished guests across various sectors of society.

Meticulous craftsmanship has been invested since the very beginning of preparation. 

Starting with the planning meeting in early March, the exhibition went through rigorous processes including artwork collection, professional selection, and exquisite framing.

During the collection phase, enthusiastic participation came from:

• 13 Xiehe campuses

• 12 Fortune Kindergartens

• 515 outstanding artworks recommended

The collection showcases diverse art forms including oil paintings, traditional Chinese ink works, and watercolors, vividly portraying campus life and documenting the institution’s developmental journey. Under the rigorous selection by a distinguished jury led by Guan Qijun, President of the Canadian Chinese Painting Association, 181 exceptional pieces were ultimately chosen. Each masterpiece demonstrates the creator’s profound artistic skills while embodying their deep affection for Xiehe.

On opening day, the Powerlong Museum was filled with distinguished guests. 

The ceremony gathered:

• Leadership from Xiehe Education Center

• Principals and directors from all campuses

• Prominent art experts

• Selected teachers, students, and parent representatives

Together, they witnessed this grand convergence of art and education. The choice of Shanghai’s premier Powerlong Museum not only provided students and faculty with a prestigious platform for display, but also allowed the artworks to shine in world-class exhibition spaces. This milestone event marks a new chapter in Xiehe’s artistic exchange and cultural dialogue.

These accomplished alumni stand as beacons of artistic excellence, demonstrating the enduring impact of Xiehe’s art education and motivating the next generation of creators.

Art Education Enhancement Program

To elevate artistic literacy among teachers and students, the Xiehe Innovation Center partnered with Powerlong Museum in May to conduct professional “Curating and Presentation Techniques” workshops.

The program featured:

•Comprehensive theoretical instruction

•Hands-on practical guidance

•Significant improvements in artistic expression and presentation skills

Notably, selected outstanding works will be permanently archived by both Xiehe Education Innovation Center and Powerlong Art Education, with creators receiving official collection certificates – the highest honor that has tremendously inspired artistic passion across campus.

Walking through the exhibition, visitors could not only admire exquisitely conceived artworks, but also deeply appreciate the rich cultural heritage and outstanding educational achievements accumulated over Xiehe’s 30-year history.

More than just an artistic celebration, this exhibition served as a vital cultural bridge connecting all Xiehe campuses, significantly enhancing the institution’s reputation across society while injecting new vitality into campus culture.
