Since May, a group of SUIS teachers passionate about short video creation have participated in the First China Storyteller – Global Vlog Creator Camp, co-hosted by the Jing’an Branch of the Shanghai Oversea Returned Scholars Association and the Shanghai Dream+Youth Exchange and Development Center. Through a combination of structured coursework and on-site fieldwork, the program helped international participants gain deeper insights into China and share authentic, multidimensional stories of the country through short videos.

After fierce competition among nearly 200 entries from 43 countries, vlogs created by SUIS teachers won multiple awards.

Meanwhile, Liam Austin, Suzy Lu, and Adam Neufield were honored with Outstanding Mentees of the China Storyteller – Global Vlog Creator Camp, and Xiehe Education received the Outstanding Organization Award.

The ceremony also featured a panel discussion themed “China Stories, Global Voices”, in which Adam Neufield, Co-Principal of SUIS Qingpu, joined fellow speakers in an engaging cross-cultural conversation.

Students from SUIS Peiming International Stream presented a lively Shanghainese rhyme performance titled “Children’s Voices Without Borders.” The performance, rich in local flavor, showcased the charm of Shanghai culture and was warmly received by the audience.
