Recently, to fulfill the vision and mission of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, two committees were established in China: the Strategic Development Committee and the Award Advisory Committee .
Ms. Maxine Lu, General Principal of Xiehe Education, was appointed as a member of the “Award Advisory Committee (AAC)” in recognition of Xiehe Education’s dedication and success in fostering students’ outdoor sportsmanship.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award
The Mission of the The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is to encourage every 13-24-year-old to learn new skills, get physically active, and volunteer within their communities to make a positive contribution to a harmonious society. And the Vision of the Award is that all young people, regardless of their ability or experience, would have the opportunity to participate in The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award.
Award Advisory Committee (AAC)
Award Advisory Committee (AAC) is a group of volunteers who highly recognize the vision and mission of the Award and committed to contribute towards the quality and compliance of the Award being delivered in China. The AAC members are on a nomination – appointment basis and go through a similar process like the Board members. The AAC members are joined by a Foundation Rep on the committee.
