The 2024 Xiehe Cross-Campus Spring Teachers PD Day event was successfully held on Saturday, 16 March 2024. In the theme of “Science & Technology Empowering Education,” this gathering placed special emphasis on the realms of science and technology. It facilitated profound professional dialogues among educators specializing in science and technology subjects.
The Xiehe cross-campus teachers PD day event, as a brand programme for the professional development of Xiehe teachers, has been held for 15 years and has gradually formed a series of three seasons a year.
Spring Session:
- Emphasizing a singular subject or curriculum area.
- Facilitating in-depth professional exchanges among Chinese and foreign teachers sharing the same subject but working in different campuses.
- Fostering collaborative sharing of insights and practices.
Summer Session:
- Catering primarily to new Chinese and foreign teachers.
- Covering a spectrum from educational philosophy to practical strategies and tools.
- Aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of the unique characteristics of Xiehe education.
Autumn Session:
- Being a grand and comprehensive educational carnival.
- Highlighting ongoing explorations in Xiehe.
- Engaging in discussions about current challenges faced within the educational landscape.

Thematic Seminar
In the afternoon, there were a total of 9 thematic seminars, with 22 Chinese and expat teachers and administrators from 8 SUIS campuses conducting specialized discussions. These topics covered various educational stages and a wide range of professional fields, including school management and teaching & learning. Among them, Seminars 6 and 9 also invited some industry partners such as SubCat Academy, Judo Technology, and SouWei Technology to share cutting-edge cases of educational technology applications.
Xiehe Education has consistently prioritized the cultivation of versatile talents, recognizing the pivotal role of technology in advancing education. Through the active participation in this PD day event, Xiehe teachers have not only acquired innovative educational insights but also expanded their developmental horizons significantly.
Standing at the new starting point of Xiehe’s 30th anniversary, let us embrace the challenge of educational transformation, strive to explore the depth and breadth of empowering education with technology, and contribute our wisdom and strength to the future development of Xiehe Education.
